God's greatest desire is
that those who have never been saved come to know Him as personal
Lord and Saviour. There are many opinions and beliefs on what does
"saved" really mean. However, no matter what anyone else says we
must go to God's word to find out what He says is His plan of
Salvation. Notice what the Bible says regarding salvation.
1. BELIEVE that you are a SINNER
Ro 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not
one:
Ro 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of
God;
Ro 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is
eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
2. The Lord Jesus Christ DIED to PAY for our sins.
Ro 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while
we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Ro 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we
shall be saved from wrath through him.
3. We must REPENT (admit we are sinners & ask for
forgiveness) in order to be saved.
Mt 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say,
Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Lu 13:5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all
likewise perish.
Ac 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins
may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the
presence of the Lord;
4. We must TRUST in the Lord Jesus Christ by FAITH
that He will save us.
Ro 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord
Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him
from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not
of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
5. We must ASK Him to come into our HEART and save us.
Ro 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord
shall be saved.
Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only
begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but
have everlasting life.
